    Interesting movie
I think we saw this in the promos when we were at the movies the other day. It already looked interesting, and that was before I knew about this.

Now, of course, I MUST see it. ^_-

    2 days left. sigh.

I started playing Farmville on facebook. I do not like facebook. Not at all. But I like Farmville.

Not too much going on today. Grocery shopping, mostly. And then a massive cooking spree. I have to go back to work (boo) on Sunday, so I want some suppers and lunches available.

My mouth still aches from the filling the other day. The area where he stuck the most needles in is still swollen and radiating pain into my teeth and up into my ear and sinuses. Need a little blue pill. Aleve is good stuff.

I still have 3 presents to get. A cousin, Aunt and neighbor. I have a cash card for a specific store,if I buy 50$ of stuff I get 20$ off. It may be worth buying presents there. Bought Ruka's in September. Got dad a frying pan. Mom I got a garment steamer and a book. Yay Christmas!

    Friday -- what to do?
At least I'm not working! XD I'm sure my co-workers are going crazy about now; I'll have to log on later and check out the chaos from the safety of my vacation.

Unlike the rest of our week, we don't have any specific plans for the day. We'll probably watch more Scrap Teacher or maybe something different like Oreten or Chinese Prince of Tennis. Hell, we still have the second Tinkerbell movie we haven't watched yet. We need another vacation or two to finish off more of our backlog (auugh, and I just added the subbed version of Yuuta's Kizumono movie yesterday, too ....)

This DC/Marvel fanart is great (the second one made me laugh.)

Still too much rain expected today, but I'm going to TRY and stop worrying about it unless it actually starts coming in the house (even if I still don't like that pool of water near the house. I need a second tarp.)

I dreamed about the Chipmunk movie last night, of all things. We saw it in the theatre when it came out, but I never got a copy of it. Will rectify that.

Think I'll go put up some more fics on AO3.

    Watching stuff
Today we went to see New Moon with our friend Christina (she's a huge fan of the books.) We enjoyed it, but still couldn't resist poking fun at the stars, Mr. Ugly and Ms. Twitchy. Jake was much more worth watching.

We came back to our place and watched some Battery, assorted AAA videos and Johnny's Boys clips, and the Hidarime Tantei EYE pilot. :D

Unfortunately, we've got another 24 hours of rain just starting. I cannot describe how utterly sick I am of worrying about rain and yet I can't help myself. It'll keep on until we've found some way to stop all the problems we're still having on the back wall of the house. *sigh*

It's funny how vacation is more than half over and I still haven't written a word of fic.

On vacation, yay! Too bad it's a bit short, but thems the breaks.

I don't remember if we did anything on Sunday at all. Crazy....
Yesterday we went to see 2012. The critics aren't too fond of it, bu we liked it. =) And the we went to Sears to see if the steamer was in (she said no), and got pizza. Got home to find Sears had called a few hours before to say the steamer was in. -_-'

Today I went to the dentist, again. They were supposed to do a small and a medium filling, but the medium ended up being bigger than he thought and only did that one. My nose is still numb, but my mouth is starting to ache. Eeek. Must take ibuprofen.

Later we're going out. I wanna get another nightgown like I got yesterday, and need to go to Sears to get mom's steamer *sigh* and I need to get more water. I keep forgetting to get it every time I go out, and we're down to a litre or so in the reservoir. Put the bottles at the top of the stair so I won't forget. Though I'll admit to going around stuff to get to the door without thinking why it's there.

    Heavy rain warning
I fucking hate rain. Tomorrow we've got a heavy rain warning on that could bring 50-70 mm -- easily the worst rain we've had since I got the outer wall supposedly fixed and the new deck put up. I already know I still have a leak, probably from the floor instead of the wall, and that the new deck fails miserably at keeping rain from falling in or around the stairwell. In fact, it's made it worse by channeling it into one area that could become a sinkhole up against the house. My little flimsy tarp held down by rocks on top of the deck isn't much protection.

My only hope is that all the holes they drilled in the stairwell will mean that it won't fill up like it did last time. And that the cracks they fixed in the wall are really fixed. The floor, however, is still a mystery that we're hoping to solve tomorrow now that we've pulled out a little more wainscotting around the problem area. I just hope it doesn't get any worse before we can fix it.

Tomorrow's going to be a long, long day.

    Two decks ... still
It's been over two weeks now since our new deck was put in. Too bad we still have the OLD deck sitting in the middle of our yard:

    Our (salvage) yard

Taken through the screen of my bedroom window

    I'm tired of looking at it. -_-;

    Vacation!
It's finally vacation and now that I've already started a list of things I need to do, I'm not even sure there'll be enough time in a week to do them all. *weak laugh* I'll do my best, though!

Our new fridge arrived yesterday while I was working (I was impressed by how quietly they managed to take out the old one and deliver the new one so that it didn't disturb my calls.) It's HUGE compared to our old one, which is funny, because when we saw it in the showroom we could have sworn it was smaller. But when we put all our food into it (which used to be stuffed to the gills) there's now plenty of leftover room. @_@

Michiru surprised me by buying me fleece sheets, and they're pink! :D Hers are light blue, to match her room. They're so soft and warm and snuggly. ^_^

Our new healthier way of eating has really made a difference with that pesky menopause-inspired weight gain that sprang upon me suddenly. I've managed to get it back down to 115 lbs and it seems fairly steady right now, yay!

While looking around websites at work yesterday I came across this story -- if you've ever been in a position where you worked customer service and didn't want to just smile and take it from nasty customers, this is a great tale. It's a few pages long, but a satisfying read.

Still uploading over at my AO3. I'm filling up the Prince of Tennis and Fruits Basket categories rapidly. XD

This week we're hoping to get to see '2012' and 'New Moon' (I hate the two Twilight stars, but there are werewolves and vampires, so ... yeah.)

Got the new fridge today! Yay! I always thought we had a big fridge, in fact, I thought the new one would be slightly smaller, though taller. Nope. The new one is HUGE. So much bigger it's amazing! Wow! The freezer looks bare and the fridge almost empty. Wow! And it's Energy Star. Says it'll cost approximately 41$ a year to run. YAY!!!

I bought the awesomest fleece sheets ever. They are warm and snuggy and make me all warm and cuddly. Hee! I think I'll buy a 2nd set!

Bought, of all things a mortar and pestle yesterday. I needed it for soup. The smell of frying onions in toasted, ground cardamon is amazing. And I hate onions....

I lost my Sims 3 Nisshi and Shinjiro. I got a program to recover deleted files, but so far I still can't find them. Poopie. I worked hard and they looked good. Will try again when I get home.

    Ack! THAT song is on!!

    ADMIN: Archive Of Our Own!
In case there's anyone who hasn't yet heard, Archive Of Our Own finally opened in Beta last week and I was lucky enough to get in there with my username:

    http://archiveofourown.org/users/haruka

You can put your email into the queue to get your own Archive here!

Since this IS still in Beta, there are some bugs to work out (my biggest issue is still with the em-dash not converting properly and sometimes cutting fics off entirely mid-way. If anyone sees weird formatting in any of my fics there, let me know.) I've been uploading fics there, but it's slow-going right now. Hopefully once the issues are fixed, it'll go faster. :)

If you have any questions, here is the FAQ.

Yay crock pots! I have my new 6QT crock currently cooking chicken broth and my 4QT cooking, of all things, cereal. Multigrain cereal with millet, wheat berries, rice and apples. Dates go in to that one at the end and you can add nuts. I bought walnuts and pecan pieces at the bulk barn yesterday. Along with: millet, wheat berries, steel cut oats, 7 grain flour, oat flour, brown rice, 1L plain rice milk, 1L vanilla rice milk, star anise, basil, orange peel, dates, dried cherries and a blue raspberry tootsie pop XD.

The 6QT, though, I bought an entire 2 pound chicken, pulled the skin off, and stuck it in the corner of the crock, added 3 big carrots, a half onion, a green pepper, and 8 stalks of celery with Italian spice and at least 10 cups of water. I love big crock. I’m going to make soup with the stock, turkey corn chowder, though it’ll probably be made with chicken instead XD

Fridge day after tomorrow. Squee! Is very exciting. I was trying to get Saturday off, and had a trade in the system to give my Saturday for a Friday. Good thing I remembered to take it out of the system. Today….

    Vacation. Starts. Saturday. Night. Yay!

Sirius Canada finally has a iPod app for streaming radio. Unfortunately, the Christmas channel I want is not included. Must remember to switch the radio to Sirius channel 3 for the Holly Days. *snerk* But the program does work.
